In rehearsals today we were all a little... sidetracked. You see, there's a party tonight and we were in party mode. We still got a lot done today though! Scenes are slowly building block by block into the piece and it's shaping up well. We are testing some new material next week and see how the audience reacts to it. We did get some good photos today... on the floor. Today was pretty much a fun day. As you can see...

We are like a little family, and a lot of pointless things happen in our rehearsals. May isn't too far away now, so performance date it creeping up on us! Lots of work to be done.

Still recovering from new years...

January 7th 2013

Straight back into rehearsals - a little distracted by new years events. A little distraction never hurt anyone, as we ended up writing 14 new pages to the script from our 'distractions'. A title has also been chosen for the piece (finally)... Introducing our new comedy/drama/sitcom/theatre/audience participation/family... thing...

What do you think? Let us know via. the contact page up there ^. GIRLS WITH CLASS will be complete and ready to perform this summer. Once we know the dates, times and places we are performing we will post it up on here so you can scribble it down into your diaries. Keep checking back to find out more.

The script is now starting to come to life! Rehearsals have began for GIRLS WITH CLASS, and shown by the photos below we have been doing very well, as well as three girls mucking about. An all-female cast and a whole lot of props in a rehearsals seems like not such a good idea. However, our first scene is now ready to perform!

Panic stations at the go! We have just realized we have 3 weeks until our second scratch night! This is both exciting and terrifying. We have made the decision to perform the second scene in our script - a scene with a few twists and turns, as well as some drunken stumbles. We feel sorry for Bob (playing Mr. Stuart Hart) in this scene, as the audience may end up disliking him by the end of the scene! Poor Bob.

We're really cracking on with the play now, with only two weeks till scratch night II. We had a mini-photoshoot... thing at one of our houses to try and get a photo to use as a poster image. Some of the photos came out really funny, and we tried to do them all in character... along with props such as wine and furry handcuffs. Sounds interesting, right? Here's the photos from the day.

And now for the best photo from the day, perfectly timed and a complete accident...

One week until Scratch night. It's sneaked up on us! Running the chosen scene over and over again, whilst choosing costume and set for the characters. Props are proving difficult as the full set cannot be made just yet as we have nowhere to store such large backdrops. We are going to make a start on the set closer to the time of our first performance... which now has a set date. Save this date... May 2nd 2013. Our first full performance of GIRLS WITH CLASS, and our first full performance as a new company. Exciting stuff. So much to do before May, but we will still find time to write in our little blog for you guys. So remember, May 2nd 2013, links on how to buy tickets will be up on the website soon, but here in the link to the facebook event with some more information.
